Before Social Linus

One page-one ranking — their own brand name. Under 300 monthly visitors. No project portfolio, no ranking content, no proof of work visible online. A genuinely excellent AV company that no one could find.

After

6 months later 900+ keyword rankings. 120 on page one. 1,100+ monthly visitors. 43,470 Google impressions. The website finally matches the quality of the work behind it.

The Situation

Macrotek Services is an Atlanta-area enterprise AV integration company serving premium venues — private clubs, corporate headquarters, hospitality properties, and event spaces. Their work is genuinely excellent. Their website was not.

When Social Linus began working with Macrotek, the site was a liability. Outdated design, thin copy, no project portfolio, no photography, and zero content built to rank for anything a real buyer might search. The company’s only page-one ranking was its own brand name — meaning they were invisible to anyone who didn’t already know they existed.

More critically, Macrotek competes in a category where trust and proof are everything. A prospective client evaluating AV vendors for a $200K conference room build is going to look at your website. If they see nothing — no past projects, no depth, no authority — they keep scrolling.

The Diagnosis

The problem wasn’t just that the site looked outdated. It was structurally broken as a sales and search asset. Three issues stood out:

  • No proof of work. The old site had no project showcase, no case studies, and no work photos. For a company whose credibility lives in what they’ve installed, this was a significant gap.
  • No depth of content. Google ranks pages that answer real questions. The old site had pages, not content — short, generic copy that gave the search engine nothing to work with.
  • No keyword strategy. The handful of rankings Macrotek had were accidental. There was no intentional targeting of terms that buyers actually search when they need AV integration services.

The Approach

The strategy was sequential, not simultaneous. Before SEO could work, the website had to be worth ranking.

Phase 1: Website Rebuild

Social Linus redesigned and launched a new macrotekservices.com from the ground up. The new site was built to rank — and to give Google something worth ranking.

Key changes included:

  • A project showcase built around real completed work — venues, installs, before/after context — giving prospective clients proof and giving Google something substantive to index.
  • Clear service pages with specific, detailed copy that matched how buyers actually describe their problems (“conference room AV,” “banquet hall audio,” “digital signage installation”).
  • Photography and visual content that communicated quality and scale of work.
  • A clean technical foundation — fast load times, mobile-optimized, properly structured for crawling.

Phase 2: SEO & Ranking Content

With a real website in place, the SEO program could begin. The focus was on three content layers:

  • Landing pages targeting commercial intent — the searches buyers run when they’re ready to hire someone, not just looking for information.
  • Educational content targeting industry-adjacent searches — topics like AV technology trends, venue technology planning, and system comparisons that attract the decision-makers Macrotek serves.
  • Location and vertical signals that helped Google understand who Macrotek serves and where.

The Results

Six months into the SEO program, the numbers tell a clear story.

From One Page-One Ranking to 120

Before the engagement, Macrotek ranked on page one for exactly one keyword: their own brand name. Anyone who didn’t already know them couldn’t find them. Today, Macrotek ranks in the top ten for 120 keywords — commercial terms, location terms, technology terms, and category searches that real buyers use.

From 50 Keywords to 900+

The total keyword footprint grew from 50 to over 889 tracked terms, with an average ranking position of 24.2. That number will continue to improve as the newer content ages and accumulates authority. SEO rankings compound — what’s sitting at position 15 today can reach position 5 within another quarter without additional content creation.

Traffic More Than Tripled

Monthly visits went from under 300 to over 1,100 — a 3.5x increase in real humans landing on the site. With 43,470 impressions recorded in Google Search Console, the visibility gap that existed before the engagement has been substantially closed.

Why the Six-Month Timeline Matters

These results were achieved in six months — not twelve, not eighteen. The velocity is a direct result of the website rebuild. Trying to run SEO on the old site would have been like training for a race in concrete shoes. Building the right foundation first meant the content program could generate results quickly rather than spending months fighting structural issues.

What This Means for Macrotek

Macrotek Services went from invisible in organic search to ranking for over 900 terms — 120 of them on page one. That shift happened in six months, starting from a single brand-name ranking.

The SEO program is still compounding. Rankings in positions 10-30 will continue climbing as the content ages and earns authority. The groundwork laid in this engagement will keep producing results well beyond the active build period.
